Is your family one of those where there's always someone who's unhappy on vacation? One would like to go to the beach, the other wants to stay in the hotel, the third has an inexhaustible source of energy, and the fourth always finds something to complain about. Well, you're in a good place for a possible solution :). Not only can Croatia boast with its beautiful beaches, but also with a selection of water parks where fun is guaranteed for the whole family. A break from regular activities on a vacation can provide fun for the little ones and relaxation for the adults. Today we present to you water parks in Croatia as one of the options to break the routine of a vacation. Most of the water parks in Croatia are located on the coast, and as soon as you enter, you will see why Croatian water parks are regarded as being some of the best and most fun water parks in Europe. Some are so close to the beach that you all can be together even if you don't participate in the same activities. The parks are open in season from May to September, and in the text below we will reveal to you the opening hours, price lists and all the other information you should know if you were thinking about going to one of the water parks.

Today, we have selected for you the Top 5 Water Parks in Croatia where you can have fun with the whole family, and they are located in the following locations: as many as two water parks in Istria, one near Šibenik, one in Kvarner and one near Zagreb.


1. WATER PARK ISTRALANDIA

Aquapark Istralandia is located in northern Istria, in the municipality of Brtonigla. It covers 82,000 square meters and attracts over 180,000 visitors annually. This is the second largest Croatian water park and one of the leading water parks in southern Europe. The ticket pricing depends on how much time you want to spend in the park. Children up to a height of 1 m have free entry, while discount is given to people of up to 140 cm of height and to those who are over 70 years old. In this case, a day ticket (10:00-18:00) is HRK 190 / EUR 25.22, and a half-day ticket (14:00-18:00) is HRK 170 / EUR 22.56. You will pay HRK 240 / EUR 31.85 for a standard day ticket, and HRK 200 / EUR 26.54 for a half-day ticket. We also have great news for everyone having a birthday celebration: people who visit Istralandia water park on their birthday are entitled to a free ticket! Every day, the park also organizes activities for children, during which they can dance Zumba, play football, volleyball, or even participate in a lavender workshop while you take a well-deserved break from children's music and activities. In addition to fun slides and various facilities, here you will also find everything you need to relax, such as sunbeds, umbrellas, lockers or outdoor beds. After adrenaline rides, you can recharge your batteries in one of the restaurants in the park. The offer is varied, so we are sure that everyone will be able to find something for themselves. The park is open from 28th May until 19th September.

How to get to the park? Istralandia is located next to the Nova Vas exit on the Istrian highway. It is 7 km from the center of Novigrad. You can easily reach the park by car from Poreč, Rovinj, Pula and other Istrian cities.
 

2. WATER PARK DALMATIA

Within the Solaris complex near Šibenik, you can find the first Croatian water park in Dalmatia. Solaris Aquapark covers eight thousand square meters, where it can host up to a thousand visitors at once, so you needn't be afraid of unbearable crowds. In the vicinity of the sea, it offers fun activities for the whole family where you can experience all 6 slides, waterfalls and pools, with the most popular activity being the "lazy river" where you go downstream in a relaxed way. Parents can relax knowing that professional security staff are watching over the safety of the children in the park, and if your child is not a swimmer, you can pick up a free life jacket. People under 90 cm have a free entrance, and those between 90 cm and 120 cm in height get a discount and pay HRK 175 / EUR 23.23 for a full-day ticket. The standard day ticket is HRK 350 / EUR 46.45, and the prices include a HRK 25 / EUR 3.32 deposit, which is refunded upon exit from the water park. There is also a parking lot within the park (but it is not free). In case you get hungry from the whole day's fun, you can eat what you bring with yourself, or check out and eat in one of the bars and restaurants in the complex.

How to get to the park? Aquapark Dalmatia is located 6 km south of the center of Šibenik and can be reached by a direct bus line. If free parking is important to you, we recommend arriving earlier to secure a nearby free parking space.

3. WATER PARK ČIKAT

Imagine that you are in the very center of the island while having fun with your family. In the heart of the island of Lošinj, in the middle of a pine forest, you can find the first Croatian water park on the island. The mild Mediterranean climate has a favorable effect on the respiratory tract, and according to research, on the island of Lošinj, as many as 1,018 plant species have been identified. Enriched with various water features and seawater pools, the Čikat water park is an ideal place to relax and have fun with the family. Children under 3 years of age have free entry, the tickets for children aged 3 to 7 will cost HRK 90 / EUR 11.95, and everyone over 7 years old will pay HRK 130 / EUR 17.25. The park opens on 28th May and closes on 18th September. The water park is designed in three zones: "health" (area with swimming pool and fitness), "relaxation" (recreational pool for the elderly with a bar and hydro massages inside the pool) and "fun" (a zone with water attractions and slides for children and children's pools). Water park Čikat obviously thought of all generations of the family. Between the relaxation zone and the entertainment zone, there is a activities area where entertainment programs are held. Ideal for parents looking to relax, while at the same time keeping an eye on the children having fun.

4. WATER PARK AQUACOLORS POREČ

Near Poreč is the largest Croatian water park. The city of Poreč is known for its long history and unique architecture. Numerous small towns near Poreč, with a fairy-tale and peaceful atmosphere, are the right place for families with children. Along the coast you can find a number of attractive beaches, and green hills with gentle slopes make the riviera ideal for cycling. The Aquacolors Poreč water park covers 95,000 square meters, and the water surface is as much as 6,000 square meters. Children below the height of 1 m enter the park for free, while for those over 100 cm and up to 14 years, the all-day ticket is HRK 190 / EUR 25.22, while for adults the price of the all-day ticket is HRK 245 / EUR 35.52. How to get to the park? The park is located 4 km south of Poreč. You can get to the park by car or on foot, because unfortunately, local buses do not run to the park. If you come by car, you can park it next to the entrance in one of the 700 free parking spaces.

5. WATER PARK ADAMOVEC

The only Croatian water park on this list that also works in winter is the water park of the Adamovec complex. This water park covers an area of ​​15,000 square meters and contains attractive indoor and outdoor facilities designed for the enjoyment of the whole family. It is located in the immediate vicinity of Zagreb, so it is an ideal opportunity for a day trip with the family. Attractive swimming pools with various attractions for children and adults, a rich wellness and spa program and superb gastronomic delicacies à la carte from the self-service restaurant are at the guests' disposal.


How to get to the park? The Adamovec complex is located 22 km from the center of Zagreb and can be reached by bus, and if you arrive by car, free parking is provided.

If we still haven't convinced you that visiting Croatian water parks is one of the best activities to do while on vacation with kids, just ask your little ones what they think about long slides, splashing all day in the pools and activities by their favorite cartoon characters. Although at the first glance, this type of vacation is focused on the youngest, we are sure that you will find a lounger that suits you perfectly while drinking cocktails while the children are at organized activities or you will even have fun with the children in the pools and release your inner child for a day. Water parks can be fun for both young and old, and in Croatia you can find them everywhere along the coast.
